Engr. Chuka Nwokoro Pledges 90% of Wealth to Charity, Empowers 70 Women in Enugu Outreach

The Founder of Mobile Ministry Incorporated and Charities, MMI Charities, Engr. Chuka Nwokoro, has said the ultimate goal in life is to share love, forgiveness, faith, hope, and reach out to humanity. He maintained that through MMI Charities, Africa will be liberated.

The Arochukwu-born philanthropist, who is based in Enugu, disclosed this to our reporter at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Independent Layout, Enugu State, on July 7, 2026, during the organisation’s 7/7 monthly outreach, ministry, and empowerment programme for indigent women. The event was held in partnership with The African Rebirth Vision Foundation, TARVF.

Engr. Nwokoro, a prominent Nigerian civil engineer and construction executive whose company delivered major infrastructure projects across Nigeria, including the Imo Airport runway, also pledged to channel 90% of his wealth towards charity and the work of God.

Speaking on the theme, “Jesus said unto the rich, ‘Give to the poor, and thou shalt have a place in heaven’”, Matthew 19:21 KJV, he said the ultimate goal in life is to share hope, love, and support  communities around the world.

MMI Charities, which marked its third anniversary this month, has consistently empowered indigent women and children, and helped young graduates find their footing through employment and funding for business proposals.

Activities marking the third anniversary began with a church service at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, officiated by four priests. During the homily, the Very Rev. Fr. John Amadi, a retired priest, admonished the congregation to imbibe the spirit of helping one another, stating that everyone will be judged by the life they lived and the positive impact made on society.

He commended Engr. Chuka Nwokoro for living his life for God, describing him as a family friend and spiritual father to the Nwokoro family. He added that Chuka has followed in his father’s footsteps and is pursuing an apostolic assignment.

“Despite his status in society, Chuka has remained exceptional, helping the poor and investing in the vineyard of God,” he said.

The four priests, during the church service, laid hands on Engr. Nwokoro as he knelt and prayed for him. They asked God to continually keep him alive and urged him never to get tired of helping the needy and the vulnerable.

Addressing over 70 women gathered for the empowerment, Engr. Nwokoro, the messenger of God, said he received a clear mandate from God at the age of 14.

“Today, July 7, 2026, is very remarkable. I am not here just to give you money or material things, but to increase your faith in God, restore hope, and share love,” he said.

“I have come to share love with you. I admonish you that no matter how little, help those in your locality who do not have. You do not need to have all the money in the world to help those less privileged than you. Love your neighbour because love is everything, and prepare your lives towards making heaven,” he added.

“My plan is to target Africa for God. We must take back Africa. I am here to bring you the truth. No matter the church you belong to, what matters most is who you are and the love you bring to the world. I say it again, 90 percent of my wealth I will give to the poor,” Engr. Nwokoro stated.

Earlier, the Director General of MMI Charities, Mrs. Delphine Chioma, said members of MMI Charities have a passion for God and humanity. She disclosed that every Sunday at 10 p.m., members gather on a WhatsApp platform to pray for issues that will better society, noting that the country is not moving in the right direction.

She maintained that MMI does not preach denomination but shares love. She said during the last empowerment, the organisation targeted petty traders and also visited a public school in Umuahia, where it distributed school bags and writing materials to indigent pupils.

“Since the inception of MMI, during our first anniversary we visited selected hospitals with cash gifts and toiletries. During the second anniversary, we visited orphanages. Now in our third year, we have continued every month from January till date to empower people, and at the same time share God’s love, which is our core mandate,” she said.

Also speaking, the Parish Priest of Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Rev. Fr. Victor Eze, said he was overwhelmed by the outpour of love and the joy on the faces of the indigent women. He thanked the convener, Engr. Nwokoro, for choosing the right path, and reminded the gathering that the Bible says whoever gives to the poor will not lack.

A friend of the convener, Dr. Charles Muoka, who incidentally attended an evening Mass and witnessed the empowerment, also commended Engr. Nwokoro for his heart of giving. He urged beneficiaries to be good ambassadors of MMI by sharing love and helping those less privileged than them, no matter how small.

Speaking after the programme, one of the beneficiaries, Mrs. Stella Okonkwo, who received ₦100,000, said in tears that she never expected such support. She said her husband abandoned her and her son three years ago. She disclosed that she uses a prosthetic leg after one of her legs was amputated, and currently needs ₦800,000 to replace the expired prosthetic.

She said she would use the ₦100,000 given to her to pay her house rent, and expressed optimism that MMI Charities would still help her get the artificial leg. She prayed for God’s blessings on the good works of Engr. Nwokoro and MMI.

Another beneficiary, Mrs. Chinasa, who benefited earlier in the year, said many of those empowered earlier are doing well and their businesses are progressing daily. She once again thanked MMI for changing their lives.

Highlights of the occasion included the distribution of bags of rice, ₦5,000 transport fare for each beneficiary, and a total of ₦1 million, which will be shared among the beneficiaries and paid into the accounts they provided.

The cry of a homeless woman and her daughter present at the outreach got the attention of Engr. Nwokoro. After listening to her story, he gave her an apartment from one of his houses in town and promised to offer a job to her daughter.
